The Problem With Religion/Stupid Religious People

So many religious people believe in the lies of these criminals who use God as an excuse. Why?

Are religious extremists around the world the cause of merciless war?
On a side note, the passage in the Bible about God turning the Nile to blood so the Egyptians would have nothing to drink and die proves the Bible is false.
God would know that blood is quite healthy to drink. Only an excited author who lived thousands of years ago in a unscientific era would use dramatic descriptions such as the bloody river. A desperate dweller would have eventually drank from the river, and upon seeing no negative side effects, the whole village would drink from the river disproving this story. Therefore, the Bible is based on lies.
Which makes this guy such a heartless idiot: him being rich, religious, or a neoconservative?
See, this is my problem with any extreme religious person.. especially Christians and Jews.
THE HURRICANE WAS NOT AN ACT OF GOD, MORONS. The hurricane and the disaster was caused by a mixture of hot&cold winds, water, global warming, negligence, hidden agendas, ignorance, etc.
If God really punished people this way, then he sure doesn't listen to his 'son' Jesus.
