Ripping off Americans

last modified 2007-01-25 19:44

So, while energy prices and gasoline price are going up, the government is cutting public funding.

Say bye-bye to food stamps

and school lunches

and kids and elderly (Notice the up-to-date cost of the Iraq War)

Congress was kind enough to vote down minimum pay raise that hasn't increased for 5 years

Molly Ivins had a great column noting how the minimum wage, if kept at the same constant rate throughout the 50s and 60s, should be $23 and change.

If you think the government can not afford it, just look at the benefits and wages of all the congressmen that are supposed to be helping its constituents (in above link). Or, just look at the billions of dollars we give to Israel every year or how we are spending $56 billion dollars a month in Iraq.

But all this money eventually "trickles down" into the pockets of the rich. Just look at this gleeful executive, "I'm sorry I had to raise gas prices, but chin bras are getting quite pricey these days."

Which is illegal by the way

****Former SEC lawyer whistleblows on the cover-ups, "backroom" illegal deals, and the ripping off of the normal investor in the corrupt Stock Market

Even the Katrina sufferers are getting jilted by the Government and the "Non-profit" organizations

Fundraising companies (for partisan purposes) are getting government benefits

Another armful substance that the government is almost literally shoving down our throats

And guess who is making money off of this

Bush borrowed the most, yet social programs have been cut

Fascist government keeping the poor down

Congress keeping money designed to help NYC after terror attacks

Richest country, yet so many homeless

6 billion of our tax dollars go to improved health insurance? rebate? schools? Naaaa...a new helicopter for Bush and pals
