What You Need to Know in Order to Have a Positive Discussion

I was making my own list then found out there was already one.

Here is a list of tactics, subconsciously performed or otherwise, that taint a discussion and send all involved further from truth and understanding and infect the mind with manipulative poisons that last long after the argument is over. They exploit traumas and lead to addiction. You may think it silly, but a simple conversation you have with a friend, performed improperly, will cascade while becoming intertwined with your future thought processes.

(this list actually leaves off some examples off so I may add to it later)

You need to know these tricks and point them out when someone use one.

Arguments should not be a competition. That's why I'm against debate classes. They teach mental poison and cause our kids to become ignorant shitheads in society approved clown suits who think they're intelligent because they are master debaters just playing and winning at 'the game' when all they offer mankind is allowing you the privilege of giving them ego handjobs.

The next step is discovering WHY someone employed a particular trick in the first place, but I don't have time for that now.

Here are two mini rants until we get this section properly started:

If we do not elevate our kinetic consciousness and evolve to a higher mental state (and through science--a physical state too) soon, the human race will expire, by our own hand or through mother nature's.  Eras and ages come and go and are often ended and begun will some sort of war or REvolution.  But for a species to advance past the point of nuclear technology, a RE-Evolution isn't going to cut it.  Revolving mentalities is no good anymore.  Homosapiens have had the unique (to Earth) ability of consciousness for thousands of years and it is time to stop playing around with it.  Let the revolution--no let the evolution begin.

A few gods who came before Jesus with the whole life to death to back to life routine: Mithra, Tammuz, Horus/Osirius, Christna, Dionysus, Adonis, Odin, and more.  That story's been done so many times.  How can so many people believe Jesus's story is real yet all those other gods that came before him are fake?  Easy, because kids are easy to trick because they are more trusting--they don't know any better yet.  Start 'em young and you can convince a kid to drink a shot of bleach every night.

While my philosophy leans toward libertarianism, it is for this reason that I think churches should be illegal for kids under some age...say 16.  If parents want to brainwash their children at home (which I think is mental child abuse) maybe I can accept that, but to brainwash them at home then make them spend large amounts of time around others in what I view as a cult like setting--those kids have very little chance to develop minds of their own.  If those kids were having their feet bound (which is common for female kids in many countries), Americans would be screaming about it, yet they do nothing while kids are being mentally bound in America everyday.

Which is another typical American handicap, "if I can't SEE the problem, it must not exist."
